Eden Try Dream Wedding Giveaway — Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN

A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible, complete entries received during the Giveaway Period.

1. Sponsor

The Love in the Vines Dream Wedding Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored by Eden Try Estate & Winery, 6818 River Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22407 (“Sponsor”).

I would remove Belle's Pleasure entirely unless Belle's Pleasure is actually participating in this year's giveaway. Everything you've told me today is specifically an Eden Try Manor House wedding.

2. Eligibility

The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States who:

  • Are both at least 18 years old at the time of entry;

  • Are currently engaged to be married;

  • Are legally eligible to marry;

  • Are able and willing to hold their wedding at Eden Try Estate & Winery in Fredericksburg, Virginia on one of the designated Giveaway Dates;

  • Do not currently have an executed wedding contract with Eden Try Estate & Winery; and

  • Complete all required portions of the official Giveaway entry.

Employees, owners, and immediate family members of Eden Try Estate & Winery should be excluded. We should decide exactly how broadly you want to define immediate family/household.

Limit one entry per couple.

3. How to Enter

To enter, couples must complete the official Giveaway entry form by November 28, 2026, including all required information, and submit the required video.

The video should introduce the couple and respond to the prompts provided on the entry form.

Entries must be complete and comply with these Official Rules to be eligible for the drawing.

Completing additional actions, following Eden Try on social media, having a larger social media following, receiving likes or shares, or purchasing any product or service from Eden Try will not increase an entrant's odds of winning.

Each eligible couple receives one entry into the random drawing.

That's our legal version of:

Do the assignment. Get your name in the drawing.

😂

4. Winner Selection

One potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries.

The winner is currently planned to be announced during Eden Try's Giveaway Celebration on December 5, 2026.

Entrants are encouraged to attend the December 5 celebration, but attendance is not required to win.

The potential winner will be contacted using the contact information provided with their entry and will have seven (7) calendar days from the time notification is sent to respond, confirm eligibility, accept the prize, and complete any required winner documentation and wedding agreement.

If the potential winner does not respond within seven days, declines the prize, is determined to be ineligible, or fails to complete the required documentation, the potential winner will forfeit the prize.

Eden Try may then conduct another random drawing from the remaining eligible entries. Any replacement drawing may be announced live through Eden Try's social media channels.

Important: I'd use the term “potential winner” until they've actually responded, proven eligibility, and signed. That gives you a much cleaner mechanism if the first name you pull ghosts you.

5. The Prize

The confirmed winner will receive Eden Try's Manor House Wedding Package for a wedding of up to 120 guests.

The Manor House Wedding Package currently has a standard retail price of $25,000 and includes Eden Try's premium wedding-weekend experience.

Venue & Wedding Weekend

The prize includes:

  • Ceremony location at Eden Try;

  • Barn reception space;

  • Curated cocktail hour;

  • One-hour ceremony rehearsal;

  • Ceremony setup and teardown;

  • Two-night stay in the Eden Try Manor House;

  • Manor House accommodations for up to 14 overnight guests;

  • Barn access beginning at 2:00 PM Friday;

  • Ceremony and reception chairs;

  • Reception tables;

  • Cocktail tables;

  • Access to Eden Try's wedding décor collection;

  • Access to Eden Try's vintage furniture collection;

  • Eden Try Event Assistant; and

  • Champagne or non-alcoholic cider toast.

Those items track the current Manor House Package.

Included Bar Experience

The prize also includes:

  • Two professional Eden Try bartenders;

  • Curated cocktail-hour bar setup;

  • Two signature drinks;

  • Up to four Eden Try wines;

  • Premium bar glassware;

  • Standard sodas, juices and mixers;

  • Ice, garnishes, cocktail napkins, straws and standard bar essentials;

  • Cocktail-hour and reception water stations;

  • Complimentary Eden Try wine tasting for two; and

  • Complimentary signature-drink tasting for two.

Your current wedding materials support those bar/tasting benefits.

Included Wedding Florals

Eden Try will provide wedding florals with an approximate retail value of $1,000, consisting of:

  • Floral décor for the ceremony arch; and

  • Two floral barrel arrangements.

The winning couple will provide their preferred wedding color palette. Exact flowers, varieties and design will be determined by Eden Try based upon the couple's palette, seasonality, availability and overall design.

^^ I really like defining it this way. “Florals included” is dangerously vague. Now they can't show up with a $14,000 Pinterest floral proposal and say but the website said flowers were included. 😂

Wedding-Day Content Creation

The prize will also include wedding-day content creation.

VALUE AND EXACT DELIVERABLES TO BE ADDED BEFORE THE RULES ARE PUBLISHED.

This is the one piece I would not bullshit our way through yet.

Before launch, decide:

X hours of coverage + what they actually receive + approximate retail value.

For example, it could eventually read:

Up to eight hours of wedding-day content creation, including candid vertical video clips and behind-the-scenes content delivered digitally following the wedding.

It doesn't need to promise 15 edited Reels or anything crazy. Frankly, since you need the content, I would hire/contract the creator based on what Eden Try needs first and then define what the couple receives from that service.

6. Approximate Retail Value

Right now we know:

Manor House Wedding Package: $25,000
Included Florals: $1,000
Content Creation: TBD

Therefore:

Current known prize value: $26,000 + content creation.

Once we hire the creator and establish their normal retail value, we can state the final Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”).

I would not publish an official total ARV until we know that number.

7. Eligible Wedding Dates

The prize may only be redeemed for a wedding held on one of the following available dates:

June 12, 2027
June 19, 2027
August 21, 2027
October 23, 2027
November 13, 2027
November 20, 2027
November 27, 2027

I am assuming these are 2027 dates based on the giveaway happening at the end of 2026. We should explicitly put the year everywhere rather than leaving it implied.

The winning couple's wedding date is subject to availability at the time the prize is accepted and will be confirmed through their Eden Try wedding agreement.

This part matters: I would NOT promise that all seven dates remain available indefinitely while they decide.

They have seven days to accept the prize, and I'd have them choose their date during that same seven-day acceptance period.

8. Guest Count

The prize covers a wedding of up to 120 total wedding guests.

The Giveaway prize may not be used for a wedding exceeding 120 guests.

That fixes the old 130/70 language entirely.

9. Expenses NOT Included

Unless expressly identified as part of the prize, the winning couple is responsible for all other wedding expenses, including but not limited to:

  • Catering;

  • Wedding cake/desserts;

  • Professional photography;

  • DJ, band or other entertainment;

  • Wedding coordinator;

  • Wedding attire;

  • Hair and makeup;

  • Transportation;

  • Additional lodging;

  • Marriage license;

  • Event insurance;

  • Beer;

  • Liquor;

  • Virginia ABC banquet license, if applicable;

  • Additional or upgraded rentals;

  • Additional floral arrangements beyond the included ceremony arch and two barrel arrangements;

  • Specialty décor not included in Eden Try's collection;

  • Taxes;

  • Gratuities; and

  • Any other products or services not expressly included in the prize.

The couple is still required to obtain a wedding coordinator from Eden Try's preferred coordinator list.

Your current packet already requires a coordinator and event insurance, although we'll want the giveaway contract/rules to be the controlling language for this specific prize.

10. Beer, Liquor & ABC Licensing

Eden Try wines and the standard bar services described above are included.

Beer and liquor are not included.

If the winning couple elects to serve beer and/or liquor, they are responsible for purchasing those products and obtaining any required Virginia ABC banquet license.

Eden Try may assist the couple in estimating appropriate quantities but is not responsible for purchasing the couple's beer or liquor.

Your current materials already put the banquet-license responsibility on the client when beer/liquor is served.

11. Event Insurance & Damage Deposit

The winning couple is responsible for obtaining required wedding-day event insurance in accordance with Eden Try's policies.

A $1,000 refundable damage deposit will also be required.

Provided there are no damages or other charges properly deducted under the wedding agreement, the damage deposit will be returned within 10 days following the wedding.

That matches your existing wedding materials.

And I would explicitly say:

The refundable damage deposit is not part of the prize value and is the responsibility of the winning couple.

12. Upgrades & Additional Services

The winner may purchase additional services, rentals, products or upgrades at their own expense, subject to availability and Eden Try's policies.

Any amounts spent on optional additions are solely the responsibility of the winning couple and are not part of the Giveaway prize.

No credit will be provided for included services the couple elects not to use.

That's important. Don't want them saying, “We're not staying at the Manor, so can we have $4,000 toward catering instead?”

Nope.

13. Prize Restrictions

The prize:

  • Has no cash redemption value;

  • Is non-transferable;

  • May not be sold or assigned;

  • May not be exchanged for cash or credit;

  • May not be applied to an existing Eden Try wedding contract;

  • May not be combined with another Eden Try promotion or discount;

  • Must be used on an eligible Giveaway wedding date;

  • Is subject to Eden Try's venue policies and wedding agreement; and

  • Is limited to the specific products and services identified in the Official Rules.

Any unused portion of the prize is forfeited and will not be replaced with cash, credit or another product or service.

14. Cancellation

Here's where I would change your old language significantly.

If the winning couple cancels their wedding after accepting the prize, the prize is forfeited in its entirety.

The prize has no cash value and may not be transferred to another couple, another event or a future date.

I would not say you'll draw another winner if they cancel six months later. That's potentially a nightmare.

Replacement winner = person never accepts/qualifies/signs during the initial seven-day period.

Once they accept and sign their contract, they are the winner. If they later cancel:

No wedding. :(

Legal translation: prize forfeited.

15. Entry Content & Promotional Release

Now this one needs to be robust because you specifically want those videos.

By entering, entrants grant Eden Try permission, to the extent permitted by law and subject to the final Official Rules, to use submitted:

  • Names;

  • Photographs;

  • Videos;

  • Voices;

  • Likenesses;

  • Engagement/love stories; and

  • Other content voluntarily submitted as part of the Giveaway

for Giveaway administration, social media, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes.

This should include the right to repost, edit, crop and create promotional materials from submitted content without additional compensation.

Winner Wedding Content

Separately, as a condition of accepting the prize, the winning couple will agree that Eden Try may photograph, film and document the wedding and may use wedding-day content for Eden Try's advertising, website, social media and other marketing.

BUT: we need to be careful with this sentence:

“They need to give us all the photography.”

You can't necessarily make the bride give you rights she doesn't own.

If she hires a photographer, the photographer may own the copyright to those images. So your winner agreement should require the couple to ensure their photographer/videographer agreement permits the couple and/or photographer to grant Eden Try the necessary marketing usage license.

That's something I specifically want the attorney to help word.

For the content creator you hire, much easier: your contract with that creator should directly grant Eden Try ownership or a broad perpetual commercial license to the footage/content they create.

16. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.

Every eligible couple receives one entry.

17. Disqualification

I'd update your old section because there isn't voting anymore.

Eden Try may disqualify an entrant who:

  • Provides false or misleading information;

  • Submits multiple entries for the same couple;

  • Attempts to interfere with or manipulate the random drawing;

  • Uses fraudulent entry methods;

  • Submits content they do not have permission to use;

  • Harasses Eden Try employees, entrants or others associated with the Giveaway;

  • Violates applicable law; or

  • Violates these Official Rules.

18. Privacy & Marketing

And here's another place I want us to be careful.

Entering the giveaway should not automatically equal SMS marketing consent.

You already went through absolute A2P hell. We are NOT reopening that cursed portal. 😂

The form can collect phone/email because you legitimately need it to administer the Giveaway and contact the winner.

Then, separately, you can have your properly worded optional, unchecked marketing/SMS consent checkbox.

I'd keep giveaway entry eligibility completely independent from consenting to future marketing.
